Nomad's Choir has accepted Bonnie's poem,"Within Prison Walls," for future publication.

The Illinois State Poetry Society Online will publish Mrs. Manion's poem, "The Lemon," in early February on their website for member poems.

Time of Singing has published Bonnie's poem, "Your Irish Sweater," in its Winter, 2010 issue.

Penned from the Heart Devotional,volumn xvi, is on the market now, with Bonnie's poem, "Whence this World" appearing for April 23 (2010). It is produced by Son-Rise Publications.

The Shepherd has published Bonnie's poem, "What I Believe," first published by The Lutheran Digest.

The Illinois State Poetry Society has put up member poems on their website for December, 2009, including Bonnie Manion's, "Out of the Storm."

The Oak has accepted "Poppy Fire" for its April issue. This poem, along with "Hands" and "A Red Blouse" were published last month (Nov. 2009) in Bellowing Ark.

"You" was also published in November by A Cornucopia, Anthology of Creative with Words, as was "Your Irish Sweater" in St. Anthony's Messenger.

Music notations for Bonnie's unrecorded Third Concerto, "Parade of the Hours," and her 2009 Sonata, "Little Norah," can now be found under the Music Tab at the top of this website, along with her other recorded music.

The Poetry Editor of St. Anthony's Messenger is purchasing two more poems of Bonnie's for future publication: "Just a Tumbled Rock" and "A Candlewick"

The Poetry Editor of America magazine, the national Jesuit weekly journal of issues and ideas, has advised Mrs. Manion that he is "happy to accept" her poem, "A Land before Time," for future publication. He calls her images "vivid." America published Bonnie's poem "Two Weeks In" last year.

Creative With Words Publications has accepted Mrs. Manion's poem, "You," for their Oct/Nov 2009 Anthology, Cornucopia.

St. Anthony's Messenger, a national Catholic monthly of 300,000 subscriptions, has published another of Bonnie's poems in their November, 2009 issue: "Your Irish Sweater."

This poem and about 200 others of Bonnie's published poetry can be viewed from the Poems Tab of this website. Poems is set up to access her poetry by either subject categories or alphabetically by title. Simply click on any poem title to read it. The Publications Tab lists all her various literary venues, and clicking on any of them will bring up titles of all Bonnie's poems published by each publisher. Clicking on any poem will then bring up the poem.

Ms. Manion received word from Editor Laura Marvel Wunderlich of the Plainsongs, journal of the English Department of Hastings College, Nebraska, that they will include Bonnie's poem, "During Chemo," in a future issue of the thrice-yearly publication, probably in January, 2010 (volume 30, number 2). This poem won a Juror's Choice Award last year at The Sacred Arts Festival's Poetry of the Spirit contest at St Mark's, Duraango, CO.

Editor Robert Ward has notified Bonnie Manion that he will publish four more of her poems in a future issue of Bellowing Ark: "Poppyfire," "Hands," "Embers," and "A Red Blouse" have all been selected for first publication in Bellowing Ark.

The Illinois State Poetry Society has published Bonnie's poem, "Amish Shopping," first published in Twilight Ending, at their online member site earlier in the month (October 2009). The Eclectics! has published Bonnie's poem," Fireflies," in their September, 2009 edition, Vol. 15.

Bonnie taught a poetry workshop for the Pagosa Springs ( CO ) Arts Council on Monday, September 28th. She attended the St. Mark's, Durango, CO, Sacred Arts Festival, reading her own poetry Saturday evening, October 3, 2009. Bonnie's poem, "Chrissie's Garden," received an Honorable Mention Award and will appear in the festival's booklet, Poetry for the Spirit, along with the other two poems she submitted. All were elected for the annual Anthology

Bonnie has had a poem accepted by the devotional Penned From the Heart for its 2010 issue. "Whence This World" has been accepted for the date of April 23, 2010 in the next issue of Penned. She will be one of 101 contributors to this Devotional.

The Oak and Grey Squirrel will publish "Just a Tumbled Rock" in the April, 2010 issue of that Quarterly. Shepherd will publish " "What I Believe" in the December, 2009 issue of that inspirational digest.

Bonnie has been advised she will be listed in Marquis' "Who's Who in the World, 2010."

The Pegasus Review, a literary quarterly, will publish "Hope," in addition to "Anger," in their October, 2009 issue.

The Illinois State Poetry Society Online published "Sale of a 1997 Jaguar" in early August (their current page of member poems); and Iowa Writes, University of Iowa's web arts forum called Daily Palette, published "First Time, Last Time" on August 5, 2009 online.

The Pegasus Review has accepted Bonnie's poem, "Anger," for their October Quarterly.

Bonnie had a great week at the 2009 St. David's Christian Writers Conference at Grove City College, PA. While at the conference, Bonnie won two awards in contests: A Second Place in Persuasive Nonfiction (Op Ed)-- which, for Bonnie , was a piece of poetry; and a Third Place in Serious Poetry.

The Illinois State Poetry Society published Mrs. Manion's poem, "Entering Old Age," in December, 2008, and her poem, "Hope," in February, 2009 on the ISPS website.

The well-regarded annual, produced independantly by some faculty of Eastern Illinois University, called Karamu, has published Bonnie's poem, "Aborted Fetuses," in its Spring, 2009 edition, Volumn XXI, No.2. This poem, along with a hundred fifty others of her published works, can be found under the Poems Tab of this website.

Bonnie's poem, "First Time, Last Time," was accepted for online publication by The University of Iowa's Daily Palette.

Bonnie's poem, "Some of Life's Mysteries," was last month published by PrayerWorks, an evangelical protestant bi-monthly publication.

The National Catholic Reporter has accepted Bonnie's poem, "Dissonance," for future use in this twice-monthly church news publication.

Nomad's Choir Quarterly has accepted Bonnie's poem, "Going to the Mountain," for a future issue.

The Illinois State Poetry Society has published another poem by Bonnie Manion on their website, the award-winning "Two Weeks In," a poem first published last October in America Magazine.

Bonnie will attend a writers' conference sponsored by the St. David's Christian Writers Assn. in Pennsylvania this June.

Bonnie will teach a short poetry seminar for the Pagosa Springs CO Arts council in September.

Bonnie's poem "September Song" in their September, 2008 issue. 

Bonnie's poem, "Two Weeks In" appeared in the October 20, 2008 issue of America Magazine, the Jesuit national catholic weekly.

St. Anthony's Messenger, a popular national Catholic monthly, has purchased first rights to another Bonnie Manion poem, "Sailing the Ocean of Air," for their publication. This makes a dozen of Bonnie's poems accepted by St. Anthony's Messenger over the past eight years.

America magazine, the national Catholic weekly, has accepted Bonnie's poem, "Two Weeks In,"  for publication soon.  

The Illinois State Poetry Society will add Bonnie's poem, "Carousel,"  to their website  the second week of October.

Karamu published  "Feeling the Cold" in May;  PK's Advocate published "A Horse, Of Course" in June/July;  The Illinois State Poetry Society website published "Ireland in Summer"  in June; Bonnie will attend an Iowa Summer Writing Festival (U of IA) poetry workshop with poet Douglas Goetsch in July. The University cancelled all June classes due to flood conditions at Iowa City, IA.

The 2008 annual, Karamu, has published Bonnie's poem, "Feeling the Cold" in May, 2008.

Spring, 2008, Plainsongs has published Bonnie's poem, "In This Moment" last month.

The Illinois State Poetry Society published Bonnie's, "Affectionately Yours" in April, and published "Ireland in Summer" in June, 2008.

PK's Advocate published Bonnie's, "A Horse, Of Course" in its June/July issue.

Mrs. Manion will attend the Iowa Summer Writing Festival workshop on "Poetry Process" from         June 22-27th.

Bonnie's poem, "A Horse, Of Course,"  has been accepted for publication in PK's Advocate, a poetry and news tabloid disseminated on the East Coast, for later this year.

Hastings College of Nebraska has published Bonnie's poem, "In This Moment,"  in its Plainsongs Journal  this month, May, 2008.

To celebrate April as Poetry Month, Mrs. Manion was asked to read some of her poetry to several English classes at Hoopeston Area (Illinois) Middle School during April, as well as teach some of the basics of the art of writing poetry to these seventh and eighth grade students.

Bonnie's poem, "In This Moment," will be published by the journal PLAINSONGS  of the Hastings College Fine Arts Dept. in May, 2008.

My poem, "Aborted Fetuses," has been accepted for the Annual, Karamu Journal of Eastern Illinois University, for its Spring, 2009 issue.

Karamu will publish "Feeling The Cold" later this Spring, in May, 2008.

The Illinois State Poetry Society (ISPS) has published "Everyman" in February, and will publish "Affectionately Yours" in April on its website.

Time of Singing will publish Bonnie's poem, "Forgetting How to Pray" in Volume 34, Number 23, Winter 2007.

"Two Weeks In", won a Third Place in the Illinois State Poetry Society 2007 poetry contest in the Free Verse category. The Judge commented: "This poem...has the kind of terrifying efficiency that takes a reader's breath away.  Direct, honest, courageous." 

Another BJM poem has been published : Worthy Is the Lamb, in PrayerWorks, a ministry of The Master's Work.

Bonnie J. Manion will be Marquis Who's Who in America, 2008 Edition.

Bonnie had four poems read aloud during the Sacred Arts Festival in Durango, CO  on Poetry Night, September 15, and these poems also  will appear in a commemorative booklet from the 2007 Festival:  The Host of Heaven, A Place I Go, The Face of Christ, and One in the Spirit.

St. Anthony's Messenger monthly has purchased "Erin Summer" for future publication.
