Have I Thee betrayed
By what I have sought,
The course I have made?
Have I chosen wrong
In face of Your way?
Have I coveted
Or from Your truth strayed?
Have I sought my will?
Have I given in -
Instead of Your yoke -
To glamorous sin?
Have I - by my lust,
Ambition, or pride -
Just turned from Your love
Or You, Lord, denied?
Oh Savior most dear,
My devil within
Has brought You the cross,
So grieved by my sin!
Yet, me You still seek,
Nailed arms opened wide!
From Body all broken,
I’m washed in Your side.
