Interior  Journey

Are You out there, speaking somewhere?
Are You in the booming thunder?
Are You in a cupboard bare?
Are You in someone’s despair?
Why do You confront me when I’m flattered?

Do You appear on barren hillsides?
Do You appear in times of fright?
Do You appear in fleet insights?
Do You inhabit  might or right?
Why do You confront me in others’ plights?

When will I meet You?
Where will I see You?
How will I know You?
Which is Your true voice?
Why do You confront me in my every choice?

Why don’t I find You in  winter flurries?
Why don’t I find You with pride or fury?
Why don’t I find You  when I am hurried?
Why don’t You come when I scheme and worry?
Why do You confront me in an open-ended journey?
